I’m honoured to invite you to participate in the 16th International Congress of the EuGMS - European Geriatric Medicine Society in Athens, 7-9 October 2020.
EuGMS annual congress this year will focus on: “Growing old in better health – building synergies across Europe” and will be held in Greece, the land of Hippocrates, the cradle of medicine and the very heart of European continent, geographically and culturally.
The Academic Board and Local Scientific Committee are developing an attractive programme to meet the new upcoming challenges of an ageing continent. Nutrition and physical activity, cardiovascular diseases, interdisciplinary collaborations, cognitive disorders will be the main axes of the sessions stretching to the latest advances in gerotechnology in the field of functional decline.
Our stakeholders: scientists, clinical investigators, clinicians, key opinion leaders, will be there to build with you a unique platform to collaborate, ensure new synergies and shape the future of geriatric medicine.
During three days more than 2000 delegates from all over the world (64 countries in 2019) will present their latest scientific results and will exchange on the most important topics concerning innovative, preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in the field of geriatrics.

EuGMS TRAVEL GRANTS 2020 - NEW!
EuGMS will offer a 250€ travel grant to authors of best abstracts:
- 30 travel grants for 30 best abstracts
- 30 travel grants for 30 best abstracts for authors from the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
No application required. In July 2020, winners will receive a confirmation letter.
Grants will be dispensed during the Congress after the poster presentation, winners shall provide their data at the EuGMS Community booth to require the payment.
