The EuGMS SIG on Geriatric Rehabilitation together with the SIG on Falls and Fractures are glad to invite you to their next meeting. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 8th: 15.00-17.00 CET.
Older persons after a hipfracture, often experience Fear of Falling. There is ample evidence, that the recovery of many patients is hindered by this Fear of Falling. What is the latest evidence? In this webinar, we will discuss the definition and measurement of Fear of Falling (Chris Todd, Manchester), and the effects of two interventions that have been studied in the last years ( Klaus Pfeifer, Stuttgart; Maaike Scheffers, Leiden).
The agenda of the upcoming meeting is as follows:

- Update EuGMS SIG Falls & Fracture survey ‘Implementation of falls prevention in Europe’ (prof. Nathalie van der Velde)
- European implementation of World Falls Guidelines: interactive discussion topics for statement paper (prof. Nathalie van der Velde)
- Future conferences and symposia (knowledge dissemination)
