The EuGMS stands in deep solidarity with the people of Valencia during this challenging time, following the recent climate catastrophe. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all Valencians facing these hardships. As geriatricians and healthcare professionals dedicated to the care of older adults, we are especially concerned for the older, frail, and vulnerable - those who are most affected and face the harshest conditions of isolation and limited access to essential health support.

We extend our heartfelt support to all healthcare providers across the Valencia region, including our colleagues in geriatric medicine, who are working tirelessly to care for older patients during this crisis.

Just one month ago, the warmth, spirit, and hospitality of Valencia made our 20th Congress an unforgettable experience. The city welcomed us with open hearts, and we remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect with our Spanish colleagues in such a vibrant setting.

Today, as Valencia and its people confront such adversity, we reaffirm our commitment to stand united with them.
